Cole was expected to get more starting chances in this season, but, unfortunately, he pulled his hamstring and was ruled out of the team.

Liverpool has to play its next match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. On being asked whether Cole is supposed to get fit before that match, Rodgers said that nothing can be speculated at this point of time. Cole’s fitness would be tested by the medical team before the Sunderland match and then, a final call would be taken.
