Joe Cole has come out in support of Roy Hodgson and has said that he would have done a better job if he had been given more funds. Liverpool secured a win late in the game when Joe Cole was sent on as a substitute and he got the goal in the last minutes of the game. The win did ease some pressure on Hodgson, whose job has been under debate following the string of poor results by his team.
Cole said, "We are all behind the manager. We all want to put this club in the right direction. We are out there playing for the shirt and the manager."
Roy Hodgson joined Liverpool in July last year following the departure of Rafael Benitez. But he has not been able to enjoy much success since taking over. Not that the club was going places when he joined, but it certainly was in a slightly better shape than it is currently.
