Liverpool are looking to cash in on £5m Joe Cole if poor form continues according to reports. The 29-year-old joined the Reds during the summer, after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer, but his time at the Merseyside club began in ignominious fashion, as he was sent off for the first time in his career on his Premier League debut for the club - against Arsenal.

Joe Cole returned following suspension with wavering form that has seen manager Roy Hodgson admit that the player needs to start performing consistently well for the club.

Cole may have some new team-mates soon, with the club linked to both Landon Donovan and Dani Alves in the January transfer window.
