Arteta slams teammates

Mikel Arteta has slammed his teammates for losing possession so many times in the European Cup outing against Borussia Dortmund the previous week.
The Gunners went down by 2-0 in that away match and were pushed to the last position in their group.
It’s still possible for them though to move forward to the pre quarter final round as the other two teams in their group i.e. Galatasaray and Anderlecht should not pose too many problems for them.
But, according to Arteta, his team is not going to lift the title playing this way.
In the words of the Spaniard who is also the Arsenal Captain, “While playing against big teams, it’s important that you keep the ball as much as you can. You cannot keep giving it away because if you do, there will be players ready to pounce on.”
“Big improvements are needed in all departments; otherwise, we wouldn’t go even close to glory. This is the biggest platform. You don’t get away with your mistakes here.”
“The main reason for me being gutted is that we couldn’t execute what we had planned. We had a fair idea of their game, but, still, we fed them at their strong points and that’s a shame. However, what’s good is that the next match is not too far away. We have to come back strongly. ”
Arsenal has to face the Turkish club Galatasaray now, next week. They will be playing that game at Emirates and they would want to open their account there.
Galatasaray drew their first game against Anderlecht and they are at the third position in the group table.
The defeat against Dortmund was Arsenal’s first this season. They have so far been unbeaten in the 2013-14 Premier League despite not having played their best game.
