Joe Cole has showered the praise on his former manager Jose Mourinho

Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole has showered the praise on his former manager Jose Mourinho even though it is widely acknowledged that his career went downhill after the arrival of the Portuguese.

Cole was regarded as one of the few English players with immense technical abilities. He was seen as the next Paul Gascoigne, but his career has been on a downhill in the last five years due to a combination of injuries and poor form. Cole is now playing with League One outfit Coventry City while a number of his former colleagues have gone on to better things.

Slaven Bilic, is upbeat about the Crystal palace visit

The West Ham United boss, Slaven Bilic, is upbeat about the Crystal palace visit.

Wes Ham has proved to be one of the most dominating travelling teams in the ongoing season.
They have beaten the likes of City and the Gunners playing on their respective home grounds.
And now, they are looking to add Palace to their scalps too as they return to the Premier League again post international break.

West Ham’s attacking play has been as good as any other team. They’ve found the net 17 times and are equalized to City in that regard.

Joe Cole Injury latest problem with Aston Villa

Aston Villa’s injury problems appear to be mounting after midfielder Joe Cole became the latest addition.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool man is expected to be out for around two weeks with a hamstring problem, which comes as a major headache for manager Paul Lambert. The December fixture list is the most hectic in the English schedule. Villa have matches against the likes of Manchester United and Sunderland coming up. It was only in the last few weeks that they showed renewed confidence. After suffering six consecutive losses, Villa are now unbeaten in the last five.

Arteta slams teammates

Mikel Arteta has slammed his teammates for losing possession so many times in the European Cup outing against Borussia Dortmund the previous week.
The Gunners went down by 2-0 in that away match and were pushed to the last position in their group.
It’s still possible for them though to move forward to the pre quarter final round as the other two teams in their group i.e. Galatasaray and Anderlecht should not pose too many problems for them.
But, according to Arteta, his team is not going to lift the title playing this way.

Villa Brings Cole To Table

Aston Villa recently brought in Joe Cole on a free transfer from West Ham United. The former England international has the capability to become a crucial player for Villa for the next few years. Still just 32 years old, the former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder has a long time left in football. Paul Lambert managed to persuade Villa to offer Cole a two-year contract. He has played with little football in recent seasons due to injuries, but Cole appears to have put behind those problems.

Cole Expects West Ham Leave

Former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has stated that he expects to leave West Ham at the end of the season. The 32-year-old is out of contract in a few months’ time and there has been no progress in that sense to keep him at the club. Cole returned to West Ham in January 2013 on an 18 month contract. However, he has rarely featured for the first-team partly because he does not fall into the plans of manager Sam Allardyce. As one of the creative members of the team, Cole has been snubbed for more physical players who can play the long ball type of football.
