COLE HELP TAMPA BAY EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN

The former Chelsea attacking midfielder who spent a spell of seven seasons with the Blues from 2003 to 2010 now plays for North American club, Tampa Bay Rowdies.

This was after he had moved from Coventry City football club in March earlier this year. He made his debut for Tampa Bay in a match with Rayo Oklahoma City club where his team ended up in a draw after their winning goal was disallowed by the referee.

In a recent game against Fort Lauderdale, Joe Cole proved his worth as he gave his all in the match while giving an assist to level the score line against the Strikers before they ended up victorious. The Strikers came on all out and Ramon Nunez, a Honduran International found the back of the net in the fifth minute thereby giving them an early lead.
This lead had not lasted for more than 11 minutes when Joe Cole who had been left unmarked on the right side of the pitch cruised his way all through to the box before sending out a cross which was able to meet George Hristov in good health and who did not hesitate the send the ball into the back of the net to grant them a tie with the Fort Lauderdale side.

Another goal from Tommy Heinemann after getting a through ball from Justin Chavez who had somehow been able to get past the defense saw the away team take over the lead. Two more goals from George Hristov in the 43rd and 83rd minutes respectively ensured that the Tampa Bay Rowdies came out tops in the match with George getting a hat trick. With this win, Tampa Bay Rowdies put an end to the seven game unbeaten run of Fort Lauderdale and extend its own unbeaten game run to 5.
