There has been a considerable improvement in his fitness. However, he still can’t said to be 100% fit, but, the way he is recovering, he should get fully fit pretty soon.

Joe Cole was placed on loan to the French club Lille in the last season. Cole’s performance for Lille was decent in the last season. He didn’t score too many goals, but, he assisted on a number of occasions. He played in 27 league matches for Lille and found the net four times.

Cole came back in the Liverpool squad for the ongoing season. Cole was expected to get more starting chances in this season, but, unfortunately, he pulled his hamstring and was ruled out of the team.

Liverpool has to play its next match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. On being asked whether Cole is supposed to get fit before that match, Rodgers said that nothing can be speculated at this point of time. Cole’s fitness would be tested by the medical team before the Sunderland match and then, a final call would be taken.
