WHY CHELSEA SUFFERED WOLVES LOSS REVEALED

Former Chelsea player Joe Cole has revealed the reason behind the Premier League defeat suffered by the Blues at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Chelsea have now lost two successive league games after they were beaten 2-1 at Wolves courtesy a late strike from young Portuguese forward Pedro Neto.

Joe Cole talked about Chelsea and the reason behind the defeat to hosts Wolves at the Molineux in a week 13 clash in the Premier League game. Joe Cole talked about the game while he was doing his punditry job on BT Sports. According to Joe Cole, Chelsea looked tired and leggy during the game.

Chelsea started the season well and were viewed by many as one of the top three challengers for the Premier League title. The others are defending champions Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. The three teams were the top three on the league standings until last weekend when Chelsea dropped to fifth position due to the slim defeat at the hands of Everton.

The only goal of that game was scored by Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson who netted a penalty midway into the first half to hand the Toffees a slender 1-0 win over Chelsea. The Blues were on course to bounce back from that defeat when French striker Olivier Giroud gave them the lead at the start of the second half, but Wolves had other ideas. Wolves midfielder Daniel Podence equalised for Wolves before the aforementioned Pedro Neto scored the winning goal of the game with virtually the last kick of the game.

A win could have taken Chelsea to the top of the table ahead of the other league games billed to take place at various match centres on Wednesday night. Chelsea had gone on a run of ten league games without defeat until the Everton game at the Goodison Park on Saturday night.
